It usually depends on how difficult the monsters are, what difficulty I'm playing on, and what map I'm playing on. If there's no regeneration enabled and I'm on hard or hardcore mode, then I'd prefer to mine, but if I'm on a PvE map with challenging monsters, then I prefer to fight monsters. I'd probably choose mining though, because I would rather have PvP than PvE.

 

I dont like mining but im scared with bad creepies either. I'll have more fun with planting flowers and designing <3

 

both are fun, it's always satisfying mining and seeing a diamond, coal or block that you need

 

I will attend to do both, but when it comes to mining i will always light place up so i don't have to deal with as many monsters while mining. I don't have problems with monsters that much regardless of difficulty, but Skeletons can be a nuisance some times.

Dealing with monsters is definitely the least important thing to do when you're mining, though it can sometimes get out of hands with spawners. A poisonous spider spawner is the worst to deal with because of the poison damage. A torch can help situations some of the times, but not every time.

 

Killing mobs because I havent mined in minecraft for more than a year now cause I started playing multiplayer more xD

 

Well it would be wise to mine so you can craft yourself more powerful swords to kill mobs with for example. I guess you would have access to materials to craft swords or just swords without working for them if there is some in chests while you play multiplayer if people that you play with share them.
