    Its a good idea if AQ3D was made by Bethesda. You see how updates going so far. AQ3D funded by its player; most of them are broke.

    Time doesn't really seem to pass in AQ3D ... e.g., it is always daytime in Battleon ... should this change?

    and always night at doomwood... its better for me.. some night maps, some day time maps
     
  7. It's kind of strange seeing a map that's always diurnal, or a map that's always nocturnal. Doomwood sort of makes sense for me though since it's all gloomy. Would be pretty neat to see more stages of the day (dusk, dawn, day, night) in the game though; I'd like to see a sunset map.

    I would love to see that but unless they code in something to make it easier to make maps, I doubt they would add it.

    it would be nice, changing to night at a certain time like the dailies reset at a certain time, people might have to relog for an easy-to-make transition

    I'm also thinking that maps with time could also mean there could be an introduction of timed events ... like a specific monster that only spawns at a certain time of a day (based on ingame time) on a map.

    I remember lots of talk around traps or certain areas with conditions that can harm the player like poison air during the kickstarter. The closest this has come to happening has been the lava in ashfall. I would like some minor weather or time based effects here and there, like just day and night for starters. Nothing too fancy, just to help flesh out or make the world a little more complex in its demeanor.

  15. I think they already have the game mechanics to implement this... sort of. You know how when you're in a daily map and the clock strikes midnight, the map kicks you out to load a new daily map? I'm thinking, what if at 6:00 PM at Battleon (day version), the map kicks you out and sends you to another Battleon (night version).

    That could work as a placeholder, but i would prefer a finished version for this system where the map doesn't have to kick you out and load back in.
