    Many people have brought up the point that game makers get little for advertising, this is wrong. If some one purchases a virgin package (i believe this consists of phone, broadband and television) the company will receive 75£ (roughly 150$). Generally a company will get little over 9p (18 cents?) per a click... Anyone who thinks they get 0.80 usd per a click (40p) is crazy...

    Games with item malls are f2p as long as free players can get them e.g some one buys a purely cosmetic sword and then is able to sell it to a free player for in game gold (similar to flyff i believe?).

    Dungeons and dragons is by far the best business structure I've seen, players complete dungeons to earn a small amount of points which can then be spent to permanently buy a chain of quests/dungeons. It allows people who would like to pay to get the things they need instead of games like Runescape that charge their members for the entire game (e.g "skillers" might only want to chop members only trees, they do not want to quest/level up)

    Although personally i believe games like "wow" and "lotro" should only charge when players reach a certain level (Half way) as the game only really kicks off around those points. People always say games only start at the maximum level, the question then is why am i paying for a few months grinding for no reason?

    Sadly the pc industry is going to ruin due to the impression that computers game are like tetris where as a console games have amazing graphics! There's also the impression that because a game has bad graphics its rubbish..
