‘Tis the Season for giving and sharing! Frima Studio, a leading and award-winning multi-platform game developer based in Quebec, is extremely proud to announce that through its free-to-play Facebook game, Rock Paper Sumo, it will be donating 100% of the proceeds for certain exclusive in-game items to Child’s Play 2010, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in over 60 hospitals worldwide. One of the first few Facebook games offering up Child’s Play items for players, the new content is a seven-piece armor set specifically designed with a Child’s Play theme. Items are available individually from $0.49 USD to $1.49 USD, or can be purchased as a complete pack for $5 USD, and are available now by heading to the Rock Paper Sumo app page (apps.facebook.com/rock_paper_sumo).

“Certain things in this world are universal, and the desire to help bring joy and happiness to children in need is absolutely one of them,†said Steve Couture, CEO of Frima Studio. “We’re indescribably proud to have Rock Paper Sumo be among the first browser-based, microtransactional games to help support such a great charity as Child’s Play, and we’re thankful and fortunate to the charity’s organizers to allow us such an honor.â€

Founded in 2003, Child’s Play was started by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins, creators of the popular videogame-based webcomic Penny Arcade, as a way to organize toy drives for sick children in hospitals around the world. Having sent over eight million dollars in videogames, toys and books to children’s hospitals since its inception, Child's Play has become the de facto industry charity and brings the true holiday spirit to kids who otherwise might not be able to enjoy it.

Rock Paper Sumo is a brilliant twist on the classic hand game ‘rock-paper-scissors’ and a great way to challenge and taunt your friends for ultimate dojo supremacy! In a quest to become the ultimate rikishi, wrestlers must live by the ancient ways of sumo: train hard, eat lots of calorie-rich bento to pack on the pounds, engage in sparring sessions against a deadly dummy and fulfill dojo duties with honor! Spend hard-won Bento Bucks and Dojo Dollars on hysterical makeovers with over 200 accessories to choose from, like cowboy hats, pink Mohawk, fu manchu, assorted tattoos, or even a chest fro! Each player must challenge opponents on Facebook to fight in order to win battles, unlock achievements, and claw up the global leaderboard to ultimately be hailed as the best rock-paper-scissors player in the world!
