How do you typically celebrate your country's national holiday

    Whether it's Canada Day, U.S. Independence Day, Bastille Day, or some other national holiday, how have you typically celebrated your country's national holiday?

    Most of the time I stay home, but sometimes I take trips to other places outside of home to visit some family members or simply for the sake of vacation like visiting museums or other tourist attractions. I've never cared too much for fireworks display, though I've seen them before, but I do enjoy eating out with family members on 4th of July.

    There's a "ring of fire" that happens in the town I live in for Independence Day for the US. Basically, we shoot fireworks in the air over a huge lake.

    Seems interesting. I've always thought watching fireworks over the lakeside was a cool idea, especially since it makes a great scene to take photos. Plus if you're on vacation, you can also take boat rides. Maybe something to add to a to-do list in some distant future to celebrate 4th of July.
