    After another Dungeon Defenders game session today, considering adding DLC for it in the Forum Shop:). This would be good so more Ogres could have a game that several ogres already have and go further in it.

    Although this was mentioned in the Dead MMOs thread, think this deserves its own thread as well. City of Heroes has been one of the most solid MMORPGs for many years and a mainstay on many of GameOgre.com's Top Lists. It will go down as one the best MMORPGs for expansions and updates as well the very first Super Hero MMO. For that we will give City of Heroes a much deserved four-club salute:).

    Pretty much, Paragon didn't bring enough innovation and NCSoft kept running it like a P2P game. Games like DCUO and Champions Online while not perfect do a lot of things better, have the advantage of newer tech and both's F2P models are a lot less restricting as CoH.

    That doesn't even factor in Champions Online and DCUO both use established brands... DC obvious has a lot bigger advantage than CO but they both have deep roots and existing fan-bases. The deck was stacked against them and just didn't seem like NCSoft wanted to even attempt any of the measures needed to level the playing field.

    It's always sad when the game is shutting down but it's the reality today, if it ain't bringing any money they will shut it down pretty fast..

    I read one of the Admins sent out this message in game:

    Talks are just talks but who knows. This could go a million different ways, but all of them are gonna take an awful lot of cash. Defiantly a long shot.

    One of the biggest petitions thus far is here:

    Almost 15k signed which is great but in MMO terms 15k is a drop in the pond on the amount they need.

    Yup, especially true for NCSoft... they are notoriously bad for killing off MMO. Make you wonder what kind of future GW1 has... hopefully ANet wears the pants in that arrangement.

    I know, I played Exteel, the game was doing perfectly fine but it wasn't the big hit so they shut it down.

    City of X has a protest emote, they've got about 20 people in game using it on the stairs of "City Hall". Due to the actual emote being in the game and where they are standing it looks like a legit protest that's part of the game lol.

    Must have in my opinion unless it's a game like DUCO where you have some kind of travel power. Playing GW2 today was wishing the game had mounts, it has a nice teleport system which renders Mounts kinda useless but it would still be nice to have. Kinda hurts immersion too being able to warp to a waypoint at anytime... can walk but it's pretty slow :/

    Besides all that Mounts are just plain cool.
