    Yea, not getting very far without that. Tho on easy it can't kill you and if you have a bed dying to refill hunger might not be a big deal. Still, food is life.

    Depends on your type of survival. If you're playing on hardcore mode, definitely shields and armor to defend yourself. If it's casual survival, then you don't need much as you can regenerate health, so maybe food for the most part to maintain your health.

    Indeed. Hardcore survival can be troublesome to play early on when you don't have that many options to heal yourself, but it gets easier when you are able to make healing potions and getting that step down can be quite troublesome too.
