  5. If the multiplayer option is up to four players, or if you can only connect point-to-point at any given time, or if the game can be played primarily single player with little to no multiplayer interaction, then it's not "massively multiplayer".

    I haven't seen an exact definition of what "massively multiplayer" means since it's just video game jargon, but when I think of massively multiplayer, I envision games where thousands of players can connect all at once and that the game is primarily intended to be played with other players.

    So I don't count Monster Hunter as an MMORPG.
