Ok, the first round matches have been listed in the first post of this thread.
S4 League versus Gunz, the two Matrix-style shooters, i will be voting for S4 of course
Good match ups!
The first match, Combat Arms versus War Rock, is now underway.
left 4 dead is one of the best zombie games I have played. It had better win lol.
hmm, i'm kind of surprised to see BF 2142 rather than 2. I understand that 2142 is more recent, but 2 carries a far larger player base.
bf2 had a chance to be there instead of bf2142 but didn't get the votes.
ah, well, theres always BF 1943!! *vomits*
but theres still hope for BF3
"We are definitely still making PC games, we've not forgotten about that. 1943 is announced for PC. Bad Company 2 is announced for the PC, so obviously we got the engine (Frostbite) running on PC. We just recently released Mirror's Edge on PC as well. I would say that we will continue to do what we are best at. We are not going casual, just because that is the trend. We're not good at that. It's not our core focus for the studio."
"I feel a little sad sometimes when people say they're lazy or they're not listening to the fans. Yes of course we keep track of what the forums are saying. I can't say anything really, but we have plans. Definitely big plans. The fans don't need to worry."
It was a touch choice on deciding which Battlefield game (minus the upcoming Heroes) to add, so we left it up to a poll.
Unless voting changes drastically, it appears that Combat Arms will be advancing to the next round over War Rock.
BF2. No question.
It's the most polished, IMO. However, the entire Battlefield game infrastructure is poorly made and very crippled.
You don't think any BF game will win then?
Nope, not even a chance with top games like CoD:4 up there.
CoD 4? That isn't in the Showdown is it?
Yup, it is
Oh, wow, for some reason it's no longer there... 0_o
[EDIT] Sorry for the double post, for some reason my browser didn't show my last post... 0_o
CoD:4 was up for voting on the final two spots, but did not receive enough votes to make it.
We might try to do the weekly results in the Blog area for a change. Anybody interested in doing results?
Sure, I'm interested.
Ok, we will see Saturday. I may do the first one and then let a forum member do subsequent ones.
I wouldn't say no BF game will win. Battlefield Heroes could win if it comes out in time....Otherwise Quake Live has a good chance of riding the hype to the finals.
