    Wii is cheaper but focuses more on motion controls. Ps3 has better games and plays blu-ray but is more expensive.

    Wii is probably the best option. But if you're really on a tight budget and don't care about many features like Wi-fi or SD card support, then a Wii Mini would be somewhat reasonable. They're not as popular as the Wii, but you can easily find them on the aftermarket for a really reasonable price.
