PopCap Games, the worldwide leader in casual video games, today announced that Zuma® Blitz is now live on Facebook, inviting the more than 500 million members of the leading social platform to join in the ball-blasting fun. Zuma Blitz is the social adaptation of PopCap's hit franchise (over 20 million units sold worldwide) and provides players with the first competitive and cooperative iteration of Zuma in the game's history.

Zuma, the world’s most popular ball-blasting game, has been compressed into a one minute ultra high-octane game where you compete with your friends on Facebook by exploding as many balls as you can in 60 seconds. In development for more than a year, Zuma Blitz incorporates a raft of fun new features and other enhancements, including:
    · Weekly tournaments and leader boards, with new game levels introduced each week
    · An “experience points†system to unlock additional power-ups and capabilities
    · Time extenders, score multipliers and other powerful in-game accelerants
    · “Hot Frog†speed mode for massive, section-clearing super shots
    · Additional information on the in-game performances and status of your Facebook friends, such as medals won, achievements earned at various point thresholds and experience level

Zuma Blitz joins Bejeweled® Blitz as PopCap's second social game on Facebook. Bejeweled Blitz has attracted nearly 40 million users since its introduction less than two years ago, more than 150 million sessions of that game are played each day by consumers worldwide, and it is consistently the most "engaging" game on Facebook, as measured by the ratio of daily to monthly active users.
