Runescape Phishing E-mail

    Hey Guy,

    Just wanted you to know about a Phishing scam sent out by an official looking Runescape e-mail.

    The topic is saying something about "A Recent Offense"
    Inside the e-mail it reads:

    "Dear Player,

    This is an automated email from Jagex Ltd., RuneScape, FunOrb, War of Legends and Stellar Dawn.

    We regret to inform you that your account has recieved an offence.
    Please visit the appeal section under Account Management to view evidence of your offence(s)
    and to appeal any offence(s) that you feel are unjustified.

    To view the evidence please click here:
    https://services.runescape.com/m=we...=offence-appeal&ssl=1&expired=0&dest=index.ws

    Please note: Due to a recent bug in our offence system some accounts may have received a
    void offence. The majority of void offences have been removed but we cannot ensure that all

    If you click the link inside the e-mail it will take you to a different link that has "Service.Runescape.com" as "Scrvces.Rumescape.com"

    So obviously pay attention to the URL.
    Another reason I know it is false is because I put in a random Account Name with a random password and it granted me access.

    Hope I save some accounts :p

    Got one, and I thaught I got the same email months ago, i just got it again, and clicked on the link, Kaspersky warned me it was a phishing site, I guess it wasnt before, Im on a temporary leave of runescape (gets boring) but i thaught I entered my details in the link months ago. I just checked my account, im clean. But I urge you not to try it.

    EDIT: My link is different, but similar, I got servlces-runescaqe.com

    Obviously from the same people who created the other one, what the email says is the same.

    I just got 3 of them actually...wow what a shocker.

    all of them said this:

    I know opening spam mail is bad. but I did it for this purpose...I get enough vulgar spam anyway so opening 1 really wont hurt that much....
