Should there be demakes of modern video games?

We've all heard about remakes (taking an older game and re-releasing it as a new and improved game, with changes like 2D to 3D graphics and extra content). But what do you think about the concept of demakes (taking a newer game and recreating it with retro-style graphics, music, and gameplay)? And what modern game do you think would be cool to see in a retro-style? While the idea has caught on in gaming communities, it isn't something the gaming industry has dared try.

I think the concept of demakes would be amazing. What really got me interested in this topic was the fan-made "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Demake" since there's a lot of innovation involved in making a modern game fit a retro style. It's something I do wish the game industry would try some day, and maybe they'll see how successful the idea would actually be.
