Did you find a way to improve search yet?
Not yet, but the new skin should help.
Ok, taking suggestions again since E3 2011 is over. Was about to start a new thread before I remembered this one.
Maybe a clean-up, removing or editing old and unused threads, if this is not done already
We have a good mod team who takes care of most of that.
Ogreman When i went to this 1 vb site i logged in for the first time and already had a msg from the admin... saying the rules and what not
it must be automated but isn't there a way to do it here so the people know not to ask for keys in chat and all the other rules?
Hmmm, that would be good. We need to find the best plug-in for that or possibly change the current introduction screen for that.
i will ask that admin what he used
here is the current list of plug-ins we are looking at. http://www.gameogre.com/forums/ogres-hall/18268-plug-ins-after-new-skin.html
We will probably have a poll to decide the best ones to add.
I have a great idea.
Tag all accounts that haven't been logged in 6 months with "expiring" or "needs to login" or something. When he run across one of their old posts, we will instantly know they haven't been here for awhile.
Hell, some of them may not log in but see the notice and decide to login again.
We already have The Pit for this.
That is possible for notifications maybe. However, Cat is right about the Pit. The usernames in black are in the Pit.
The pit scares me.
Oh there I found the suggestion thread.
I have a suggestion regarding the poll. Maybe it's better if we could change our vote once we have already voted. Like in the debates, forum gamer of the month, best game of the month, etc.
Well your not actually suppose to vote until your sure of it..
if you vote for a president you can't run back in and say "oops i didn't mean to vote for him"
you must just be sure for who you voting for
What he said ^
And polls are closed when someone/something has a big lead (ie the debates polls), so if you were to want to change your vote you could be too late, or 5 people changing their votes on the last day could turn it all around
That's true. But like in the forum games, a person may not be active during the first few days of the poll but then become very active when he goes back. He might therefore miss out the votes of some people who vote early.
The same is true with the debate. A person may have a slow start but then start giving valid arguments later on. But since some people may have already voted, they can't change it anymore.
Not all people wait until the last few weeks of the voting period when voting. So I thought it would be a good idea to let people change their votes.
I like the idea, but is it possible? I have not seen a poll where I can change my vote yet.
Ask Ogre if it can be done or not.
I don't believe it can, but there could be a plug-in for it.
