    Actually, that about AP is only true on a few artillery, in fact, I only know about it for sure on Wespe.

    Anyway, whenever I can, I load up my arty with 66% HE and 33% AP, simply cause AP will deal full damage whenever it penetrates, while HE can sometimes act really stupid and deal only minor damage. AP tends to have much larger penetration than HE, so overall it's a good idea to use it on targets that AP can penetrate but HE can't. However on softer targets (lorraine...) , HE is still the best choice, and also artillery misses a lot, and AP shells do not have splash

    There are many candidates for both of those categories, but I guess if I had to single out one of them, T-54 would be the prettiest while Somua Sau 40 would be the ugliest
