Yes all. Its not fair that you have marked weak spots on all tanks, or what ever makes your battle easier. That is not real world of tanks, its shooting weak spots and running from better players than me, or what ever rest of modes give you.

 

in the game for real ,you dont have the time to aim at the weakspots!
or if you have the time it s when you snipe or you are a total nob.
every one have the oportunity to instal all mods.
it s your choise.

I assume though that you're talking about the ambush special, and if I'm correct, then the answer is no, I'm not, but after last week's special, I'm not complaining

 

FACT is that weak spot mod is for beginners till they learn where to shoot.
Once you learn most of the tanks or better said where to shoot most of the tanks you delete that mod cause it is obviously for noobs/newbies or however you call beginners.
How you act and play in crucial moments and tight situations will determent how good of a player you actually are. Staying calm and aiming at the spots you know it will penetrate while it is a messy fight between more than 2 tanks is the right time to show your skill. Unfortunately pen 0 dmg is always there to make fun of you xD however it doesn't happen that often.

As far as forbidding all mods i disagree on that point. I think it isnt a "cheat" to know when will your gun reload in exact second nor is a cheat to have map mod that tells you where was the last tank spotted before it disappeared. Those who claim otherwise do so cause they were never in position of FC and do not understand how much it can help a Field Commander on the spot to change the current tactic for the better performance of his team and himself.

There are more mods of course such as XVM that is almost a standard mod to have this days for those who want to have few mods.

I completely agree about banning or if possible deleting the zoom-in mod that as Fox explained lets you zoom in way more than normal thus having a HUGE advantage over others. Similar mods to that one are also lame in my opinion.

 

It is bound to have some weak week after a good event xD

Hunt Us Down is back this week! Hit the battlefields and keep your eyes peeled for the Wargaming tanks. If you destroy one, you’ll win some gold!

Rules:

The contest will be running from 22th April, 07:10 CEST (GMT +2) until 27th April 07:00 CEST (GMT +2). That’s right – you can meet our Wargaming tanks in battle any time throughout these days.
There are no fixed sessions for certain tiers. Vehicles of any and all tiers can be found at any time.
The rewards system for this contest is now fully automated. Winners will be rewarded straight after the match by the system. There is no need to take any screenshots.
Prizes:

A player who successfully destroys the Wargaming tank will receive 500. Team-killing is still against the rules – if you team-kill the Wargaming tank, not only will you win nothing, but you’ll get a caution and be flagged as a team killer as well!
Please be aware that there is no reward for defending the vehicle. However, whilst the enemy team is busy hunting the tank, there could be an ideal opening to go out and capture the base or take down your enemy!
In order to help you identify the target, all Wargaming tanks will be sporting a fashionable golden camouflage design.

As well as the golden camouflage, the Hunt Us Down vehicles are part of the HUD1 clan. In addition, their names will be marked on the battlescreen and team lists with a special symbol.

That’s it for the rules! You could meet the golden tanks at any time simply by joining a random battle.

 

I do agree with Narubian about the weak spot mod being for newbies (not for noobs though, there's a big difference between the words noob and newbie) . I also completely agree with this

However I disagree with the next sentence about 0 damage pen, as it's not a random thing. Hitting a particular spot on the tank will always cause damage, and another will always cause 0 damage. The fact 0 damage exists is silly, but it's there, and it ain't random, it's the player's skill that determines whether you'll hit the right spot or the wrong one

as for forbidding all mods, I disagree, that's unneeded. However, all of the mods that give the player ANY advantage, small or large, should be banned in my opinion. For example, mod that shows you how much damage you've done during the battle - no advantage, interesting info, should stay. But a mod that tells you when the tank was last spotted, it does give you an advantage, a huge advantage not only to a FC but to any skilled player in my opinion and that is something I'd ban. And the same goes for weak spots mod. It looks ridiculous and it does provide an advantage in battle (although that advantage reduces the more skilled player is and in the end becomes non-existent) . I'd maybe allow that mod for players with under 1000 battles, 2000 tops, but after that, no, it's an advantage for bad players, and unnecessary for good ones

 

WoT is famous for trolling Germans, making their tanks weaker than they should be, and one of the developers is often quoted saying that he dislikes German tanks cause they killed his ancestors

I thought at first that you were talking about WoT as WG community not gameogre forum but later you edited so i answered again

 

Well, yes and no. I think prizes for top 4 are adequate but there is a part that I find a bit silly. The prizes increase if 5 players reach 1750 points, but yet the person that finishes 5th gets nothing at all, even though that person will effectively be the reason why the top 4 will get higher prizes. I do believe there should be at least some forum points offered for 5th place in case it reaches 1750 points

Maybe to add like 1750 forum points for the one who gets the 5th place cause without his 1750 points others wouldnt get that boost.
Same applies for 1000 points, the one who finishes at 5th place gets 1000 points.

Neither of us suggested that prizes should be lowered in any way, just the 5th place should get a prize too, nothing else
