    Well I'm guessing they intend to have it in game, why else would they have it in the trailer, just like they had HE-111 bomber in the previous british warplanes trailer. And B-17 should definitely be interesting to see on the skies, with all those gunners :)

    I dont think they will implement it, what would be the poent, you have ground attackers, heavy bombers would be only good as a bots in game.

    And Spitfire was very late model (you can see that by the number of pedals in propeler).

    And they overd did the trailer, you would be dead as a Dodo (the bird) if you did this in real life or game. XD

    B-17 is just too hard. He can go carpet bomb enemy base so easily. And ten defensive machine guns...

    Which would make attack aircrafts pointless. B-17 is much faster than attack aircrafts.

    Well there have been ideas on forums for a new game mode, in which players of one team would escort a group of heavy bombers, while the other team would be tasked with shooting the bombers down before they reach their destination, and bombers would be AI controlled.
    Otherwise, I'd like to play around with HE-111, Ju-88, B-17, and other heavy bombers but I don't think it's possible without much larger maps
