What could the warring factions want with the Book of Darkov?

I think in the end all will point to the darkness orb.

 

I doubt there will be factions like how AQWorlds has it. What the AQ3D team has implemented are ranks, but it would be nice to choose which rank we want to go with. Maybe have a quest and when you choose one quest line (vampire or werewolf), you can't choose the other. I think that would be neat.

 

yes this would be a good idea, choices that affect your future relations with other npcs is one way to add depth to the storyline. hope this wouldnt be too hard to implement though.

I think it'd be cool to see rank-exclusive items depending on which rank you join, the lycans or vampires. I wish they did that with Camp Gonnagetcha, but I guess people would complain about how they prefer some items in one shop and another item in another shop. But still, I think it would be a fun idea for two opposing ranks.

 

I guess the camp was to test and get feedback about what the majority of the players want. But yeah, faction specific items could be a good idea. Would also make more sense what with trading/auction looming on the horizon.

 

Yeah picking one faction and being unable to change (unless you pay a lot of gold or some DCs maybe) would be great. The item shops they have should also be exclusive to you being their ally.. Would be nice to see.

 

Would also be nice if the opposing faction would auto aggro you.

 

The war part would be in the last chapter of Darkovia arc.

 

I don't think players should be able to pay themselves out of a faction. I know AdventureQuest Worlds does that with Good/Evil faction, but it takes away all the fun of "exclusivity." A lot of players tend to scream for rare items, or want to be exclusive in some way, and I think a one-choice faction would be a great idea for players to be exclusive to other players.

 

Yeah i would definitely like for there to be no way to change your faction but many players will probably complain saying things like "I accidentally chose this one...".

 

ohhh how the collectors would rage when they learn that they cant choose another faction after choosing 1....
