What is the best thing to farm for trade with villagers?

    I generally farm wheats and leathers. Some villagers offer really good amount of emerald. What do you farm generally?

    Emeralds from farmers, enchanted books from librarians, and maybe bottle o' enchanting from clerics. Generally, it's pretty easy to obtain many other items that some villagers aren't as useful.

    You can use it on everything like emerald money but hard to get. Varies from every villager to villager, if you are lucky they can accept vegetables(potatoes, carrots, wheat, sugar cane...)

    Emerald is extremely easy to get. You just need to change the role of your villager to a fletcher and trade a bunch of sticks for emeralds, and you can also obtain a bunch of arrows that way. Newer version of Minecraft makes things more convenient.
