WoT Blitz Update 1.8: Revised Tutorial

Everyone wants to be a first-class tanker from the get-go, but to achieve success, you have to start with the basics. Update 1.8 makes the learning process much easier and more enjoyable! Here's how the tutorial path will work after the update:

First Steps

The first step on the path of a brave tanker is selecting a nation, or more accurately, a tier I tank to send into battle.

During the battle and Garage tutorials, a new tanker will fight a few practice battles with other newcomers, and will also learn such basic skills as holding the device correctly, controlling the camera and tank, shooting and aiming, researching and purchasing vehicles, etc.



During the Garage tutorial, the player learns more about the tech tree and will purchase a new tank. After that, the tutorial ends. The player will get a completion reward, and the greater reward of battling freedom!

If you're an experienced commander -- a PhD in armor-piercing studies, if you will, then you can skip all the tutorials and throw yourself directly into battle. Note that if you do skip, you won't get the completion reward.



Hint Me!

On top of the tutorial stuff, the update features several pop-up hints for those players who are already familiar with the game basics. These hints will tell (or remind) you:

• How to find a particular button in the Garage if you forget its location
• What Free Experience is and how it can be used
• How to train and use Crew skills
• Other useful things!

I still can't play it, new players only

 

It's a good way to test controls and ping or in my current situation a bug, that way I don't have to risk being useless testing something in a live match. Plus you never know, you might pick up on something you missed.
