Ori and the Will of the Wisps launches tomorrow night on PC and Xbox. It's on Windows Store, Steam and GamePass. The first game was a platformer with semi-challenging game play, amazing art and sound, an a emotional story... sooo be ready to cry from frustration and sadness lol.

Now that the warmer weather is here I'm learning my PC is gonna be fun in the summer. Already feeling the heat. I'm impressed and honestly a bit surprised I didn't notice it more in the winter. Once we start getting to AC weather it'll probably not be an issue again but until then I might need to open a window or two when gaming lol.

This coronavirus is pretty wild. Never seen anything like it, things getting cancelled left and right. NBA just suspended it’s season after a player tested positive. Pretty much all the major tech/gaming events have now been cancelled. I’m glad they are taking it seriously but this is wild. I’m glad Animal Crossing is only just over a week away, been waiting so long, it’ll be a nice distraction from all this.

I got a chance to play a bit of Ori and the will of the wisps. My first impression was honestly awful, it was running at like 10fps on my Xbox One X. After restarting the console it improved but honestly still didn’t feel completely stable. It seems to be a bug, PC apparently has a few performance bugs too. I’m really surprised and a bit disappointed.

Got Ori WotW up and running on my PC since it's still having some issues on Xbox One X... I still don't understand how that happens on a Microsoft funded, Xbox exclusive but OK. On PC at 4k with no motion blur... wow, the game is absolutely stunning. The art is fantastic. The lighting is really nice. All the small effects and graphical details... honestly it might be the prettiest game I've ever played.

Just a few more hours to go for Animal Crossing, never did I imagine we'd be in a pandemic right now. Crazy that this will probably get worse yet before it gets better. If nothing else, hopefully the toilet paper shortage will be sorted soon, it's literally sold out everywhere. It's been a long time since something like this happened, I guess it's a good reminder that as much as we like to believe we are past stuff like this with all our modern technology and medicine... we really aren't.

It finally went on sale so I bought it, got myself a sim racing wheel. Wanted to do it for ages now, super excited but then promptly crushed by the fact I don’t have an ideal surface space to set it up and getting diy materials is both hard an irresponsible during pandemic lockdown... rip. I’m glad I didn’t miss the sale though, in the long run it’s gonna be amazing.

Animal Crossing New Horizons has been great, it’s a very slow start though. I don’t know much about the scope of the game because I haven’t followed the news on purpose but am a bit nervous a lot of things from previous games might not be returning. I guess I’ll see as I don’t want spoilers, it’d be a shame if that’s the case though. I really miss the town.

I do kinda like the new crafting system, it gives you something to do but it is pretty grindy especially for rare items. Maybe as things develop things will change though, I don’t know. The game is great though, looks good, has nice improvements like items outside and still a very relaxing experience.

Switch got three JRPG demos, Bravely Default 2, Trials of Mana, Trails of Cold Steel 3. Looks like a nice set of games. Dunno how generous the demos are but we’ve seen some really generous ones lately, especially from Square, an they are releasing two of these games.
