Still taking reviews. The code for each review is gold.
This is a wonderful free to play game! The beginning of the game can be very frustrating, and it will take several hours until good gear that allows you to deal with the rest of the enemies. So, progress is tough, but once you can fight in equal conditions with the rest of the players it becomes very, very rewarding.
Everyting can be bought with in game credits, be it new characters, weapons, vehicles, skins and even veteran membership. It might look that the game is P2W, but actually players can compete against those who have payed premium without paying a single cent.
This game is divided in two parts. Experienced players control the RTS part, where, in a big map of Europe, the USA, Germany and the USSR fight for control of the areas by sending units called Assault Teams to battles. The outcome of those battles is decided by the players, who will play that battle in the FPS part, and the resources available will be the ones that the generals provided previously. Thus, sometimes one side might have less resources than the others. For those who prefer less-stressful and more balanced battles, staged is also available, where the resources are automatically generated and the same for each fighting faction.
If you manage to capture 15 of those capitals, your faction wins the war.
There are 6 character classes (infantryman, paratrooper, recon, tanker, pilot and general). Generals only play the RTS and can own any kind of Assault Team, the other five can control units of their class in the RTS (if they're officers) and can also take part in the FPS. Each soldier can have an unique loadout of weapons (from more "typical" equipment like a sub-machine gun and grenades to stranger things like a machine gun and a rocket launcher carried by the same character), perks that are provided by badges (making less sound, carrying more ammunition or explosives, reloading your guns quicker), vehicles and skins. Each class has unique abilities and unlocks, being infantry the most versatile class, with access to many kinds of vehicles and more weapons than any other. Recons have access to armored cars and special modifications for their rifles, paratroopers can fall from planes and are great for assaulting positions, tankers can use light, medium, heavy tanks plus tank destroyers, armed with weapons able to destroy infantrymen and other tanks, while pilots can shoot and bomb from the sky.
Yes, this is a thing.
This game is in constant update, and the developers usually release new hotfixes and will inform of the new updates via periodical Devstreams.
Revealing the past Squad 2.0 update.
Of course, a review can't be complete if the negative parts are not stated. The game doesn't run smooth on low-end computers (it is needing some optimization). Server downtimes happen from time to time and they can be very annoying when you want to play (hint: they often take place once in Tuesday or Wednesday morning in Europe). Some of the endgame weapons need a rebalance, and probably the Anti-Tank weapons need a readjustment, as playing as a tanker can sometimes be too difficult due to ubiquitous Anti-Tank rambos. Finally, grinding new gear is too hard for newcomers, although Reto recently made some patches that eased the character progression.
The physics engine could also use some improvement, just saying.
Nice one. Code sent via PM.
Please review here for this code.
Heroes and Generals - this MMO shooter since World War II.
RETO long did the game, but there are still many bugs are present, and ill of the map.
Some criticism of the multitude of players, is the gameplay that allows players to be unfair spawn killers. This is very annoying, especially when you can not pass on the tank more than 20 meters from the spawn. RETO is this little fighting. In the last update of a small area that is protected from the spawn killers has been made, but it helps little.
The game play is interesting, especially in a team with voice chat.
The fascinating process of capturing control points and close range fighting, brings a lot of fun.
Thank RETO that try, hopefully many annoying flaws, bubut eliminated.
Particularly pleased that the game is not intrusive in Donato, pumped characters is relatively simple, not like in other games.
RETO holds regular shares for the purchase of equipment and weapons, for in-game currency. It's nice.
Come, try, and I'm sure, you'll love this game.
I learned about the game from a friend, and play for several hundred hours. I have several characters for each faction.
This game combines the very best features of the old games. Really big cards (not two houses and a barn - villages and the city), a variety of weapons and equipment. It is a rare combination of the characteristics for our time.
Only in this game you will be able to grab a point on the bike!(Even if the point on the second floor)

Ok, this will be the last week for the contest.
Ok, have roughly 3 days left so last chance to submit a review.
This thread will be closed Thursday night and the winners will be declared Friday.
Please do not post here unless submitting a review. If you have to ask or say something about the contest, please PM me.
Good luck to everybody.
I found out about this game from this forum, tried it out and it seemed glitchy and a bit clunky at first, but the game overall isn't that bad, it's enjoyable and fun, it requires ton of updates and improvements to be among top 5 shooters but most important thing is that it has potential, it is up to developers to do good job. Last thing about this game is that tanks seem awesome and fun and I feel like that is one of the things that made me stick with this game

Last call on this contest for extra winning codes.
That will end tonight.
Heroes & Generals is an amazing f2p MMOFPS that anybody can be play on Steam with a dl. Not without its fair share of bud but still a solid WW2 game to play with others. The weapons, graphics and gameplay are all very cool .
Ok, closing this contest down for now. It will be judged and reopened tomorrow.
The two winners have been determined. The overall winner gave the most detailed review of the game. The runner up was the most creative. Congrats to both.

That concludes the contest portion for the time being. This thread will now function as a giveaway where a review is required for a code. However, we may still give something extra to the special reviews.
Ok, now you can review the game and get a code from here.
Many people say it is pay to win, but, that is relative,WoT is pay to win too,if we look from that perspective, but still, game is really interesting if you like WW2 thematic, gameplay is best part ,graphic very good ,too, community is helpful
I highly recommend this game, you wont make a mistake
Heroes and Generals first appealed to me due to it's unique spin on World War 2. It's multiplayer functionality means that large and epic multiplayer battles can take place. Pitting you as either Germany, Russia or America, take up arms as Infantry, Recon, Paratrooper, Tanker or Pilot. The game provides a fun and active battleground for you to fight in and is a game I highly recommend. Don't believe me ? Look at some of my screenshots
