Online Game Olympics

Welcome to the first annual Ogre Online Game Olympics. This will event will cover many different areas of GameOgre.com. For the very first time, the top three winners will all receive medals.

Duration:

December 2nd - February 5th

Rewards:

Top 5 Members Will Win Prizes.

1st Place: $20 Ultimate Gift Card and a "Gold" Medal
2nd Place: $10 Ultimate Gift Card and a "Silver" Medal
3rd Place: 3500 Forum Points and a "Bronze" Medal
4th Place: 2500 Forum Points
5th Place: 1500 Forum Points

Rules:

1. Post here to join this event.
2. You have to post in the thread whatever you did to earn points.
3. Anybody who makes over 300 points and places in the top 5 will double their prize.
4. Adding Games: Do not add games to the directory with URLs from general game sites. They should be from the game's site only.
5. Reviews:
a. Reviews need to be more than one sentence. In fact, three is the minimum.
b. Reviews should be in your own words. Do not copy text from the sites of games to put in the review.
c. Do not score every game the same.
6. Self-Made Videos:This means videos made by you, not just uploaded. We might have to start requiring the GameOgre logo in these.
7. Living Avatars: These should not be claimed until I say they are OK via PM.

Point System:

Five Forum Game Posts = 1 Point (Limit 12 points per day)

MMO or Online Game Video = 1 Point (Limit 6 per day)

Review on any game (at least 3 sentences) = 4 Points (Limit 10 reviews per day)

Adding a game to the Online Game Directory (with screenshot, URL, and description) = 2 Points (Limit 5 per day)

Answering any MMO Request in the MMORPG Request forum = 2 Points (Limit 5 per day)

Making a Living Avatars item = 5 points (Limit 4 per day)

Winning an Arcade Tournament with four or more people = 5 points (Limit 4 per day)

Winning a Ladder or Tournament at http://www.gameogre.com/forums/competitions.php = 12 Points (Limit 1 per day)

Winning a debate with a one week poll = 10 Points

Posting in a MMORPG Showdown match or a Match results blog (post must follow the thread topic) = 5 Points (Limit 4 per day)

Posting in the http://www.gameogre.com/forums/social-games/6992-social-game-faceoff-tournament.html thread = 5 Points (Once per round)

Voting or nominating a game in the 2010 Online Game Award threads = 5 points (Once per category)

Starting a new thread (must be on topic) in any forum listed under Online Games. = 5 points (Limit 4 per day)

Finding a link error in the http://www.gameogre.com/reviewdirectory/ and linking to that game's review page in this thread = 7 points (limit 5 per day)

We will also have a contest or two during the time period that will be worth points.

You mean Forum Games, Champ? You will receive full points for the regular reviews this time since you have wrote a review before. However, try to talk more about the games and leave game a score. 5 is just the default score.
