Which is why you have to constantly keep moving, change directions, keep top speed at all times, use cover, do all the things a good scout does, as you are right, once you get hit, it's very likely your tank will turn into burning scrap

 

Do you find game tutorials helpful for various features within a browser game? Or do you prefer to discover how things work for yourself... Like me??

 

In some browser based games there are features which are split between appearing only in the game world or only appearing on the sites webpages. For example a games store may only appear on the website - not actually within the game world.

Whats the consensus on this issue? DO players actually find this annoying, having to exit the game to purchase items. I personally do not mind.. Unless I am at a critical moment..lol!

Featherweight Anniversary Tournament
Featherweight Anniversary Tournament | News | World of Tanks


The World of Tanks European server is celebrating it’s 2nd birthday. This would not be possible without you, our players, who supported us by picking up our games and getting your friends to play. That is why we’ve decided we shouldn’t be celebrating this date alone. It’s time for you to join the party!

We would like to invite you to take part in a series of three tournaments and try your chances at winning powerful beasts on tracks! The main prizes in these tournaments will include Type 62s, KV-5s and Type 59s! These exclusive vehicles cannot be obtained in game!

The first tournament, called “Featherweightâ€, is dedicated to low tier vehicles. The later tournaments will be for middle and high tier tanks.

Sign-ups for the Featherweight Anniversary Tournament start on the 12th April at 12:00 CEST (GMT +2) and will last until the 19th April at 18:00 CEST (GMT +2).

The games for the tournament will take place on the 20th of April, starting from 18:00 CEST (GMT +2).

As well as receiving the prizes of a Type 62 premium Chinese light tank and gold, the winning team will also win a medal! Each of the anniversary tournaments will have its own medal. The Featherweight Anniversary Tournament winners will be rewarded with a bronze medal. The silver and gold medals will be awarded to the winners of the cruiserweight and heavyweight tournaments.

Previously when our tournament stars were awarded medals, they were only forum signatures or medals visible on the ESL profiles. As the anniversary tournament is a really special occasion we’ve decided to make your bling shine even more! The medals you will win in the anniversary tournaments will be visible on your World of Tanks profiles! Check them out!

Full Tournament Rules:

Team captain obligations:
Rules infringements must be posted within 15 minutes after the round end in a dedicated thread. After the deadline passes, reports will be deemed invalid.
All team captains must keep up to date on the forums.
Declarations of tank choices before the game are not required.
Vehicle limitations:
No specific vehicles are prohibited.
Total tier points for a team must be no less than 20 points and no more than 40 points.
The table below depicts tier limitation for this tournament.

Players:
A team roster must consist of 14 players, and may include up to 6 registered reserve players. Team must be fully registered and accepted before playing (A reserve player may replace a primary player at any time).
Each player can only play for one team in one tournament, cup or championship
Any player can change team if they want. Players are not allowed to play for a new team within 10 days of their departure from their old team, and may not take part in any games and tournaments of his new team during this period. This also applies to newly registered players playing for an existing established team but not for entirely new teams.
A banned player who’s ban has recently expired cannot play in any new teams or participate in an existing team for 30 days after the expiration of their ban.
Naming:
Once the team has been created, it cannot change its name (please be very careful when naming your team).
Team and player names must not violate the wargaming.net naming rules; any team violating these rules will be disqualified.
Wargaming.net staff or affiliates are not prohibited from playing unless they are part of the tournament administration, these people will be stated. (Only a maximum of 2 Wargaming.net employees and/or affiliates per active team are allowed).
Before the battle:
Teams have 10 minutes before the allocated start time to join the lobby. If a team is not ready in this time and no one from the reserve can take the place in the primary (main) team, this team forfeits the game.
Use of premium tanks, shells and consumables is allowed.
Victory conditions:
Each battle lasts for 15 minutes.
To win a game, the team will need to destroy all enemy vehicles or capture the enemy base.
The first two rounds will be “Best of 1â€. Subsequent rounds will be “Best of 3â€. The final is “Best of 5â€.
If a match ends in a draw, both teams will be disqualified for passive play in a best of 1 game. In best of 3 and best of 5 matches the below rule applies.
If a match ends in a draw, we will use the 8 tier points rule. "In the case of a draw, the total tier points of surviving tanks will be added up for each team. A team with 8 tier points advantage over their opponent will be the winner" (This must be checked with a screen shot posted on this specific forum within 15 min of the game’s end) - if there is no clear winner then both teams are disqualified.
Starting spawn points for all games will be automatically allocated by the system
Games cannot be replayed unless an issue with the set up causes a problem. Unfortunately we will be unable to restart games due to disconnections or PC crashes
Maps:
First round games will be held on the map Mines.
All other rounds will use the following pool of maps: Mines, Abbey, Ensk, Himmelsdorf, Steppes, Airfield
Casters:
Official casters will be stated before any tournament starts on the forum by BUMP, if an official caster requests entrance to a game then they must be invited
Please be aware that these rules may change slightly as these are the first of the new tournaments.
Replays:
Replays must be provided by the teams from the quarter final onwards, any other replays are always welcome. Details will be provided on where to send these closer to the time, but they can also be uploaded to the forums
How to get to the game:
Teams are automatically invited into games beginning 18:00 CEST (GMT +2) onwards, there is a great guide to this, and a guide on what to do when you have the invite!
As there was some confusion in the past on how to move players to participate in a round, we have created a simple guide that should help you with any possible match-joining problems.
In the event of a team-member violating any of the above regulations, the whole team will be disqualified.
Additionally, every player is advised to carefully read the “How not to get declined†guide.

It’s the second anniversary of World of Tanks in Europe and we have a very special contest to celebrate in which anyone can win just by playing the game!

In order to take part, all you need to do is battle with your favourite vehicles and earn as much XP as you can. You don’t need to submit any screenshots or replays – in fact you don’t need to do anything at all! The results will be pulled directly from the database in order to compile the massive list of winners. And believe us when we say that the list will be huge, for the top ten scores for almost every single vehicle in the game will be rewarded!

The contest will run from 12th April and will end at midnight CEST (GMT +2) on the 22nd April.

Whether you favour tanks, tank destroyers or self-propelled guns, you will win gold if you are in the top ten for that particular vehicle! What’s more, the top 50 for each category of tiers could also win exclusive tanks or even a trip to Paris!

Please note that we have put together a reward system based on the following categorisation of the vehicles:

Please note:

Premium Tanks and Tier I tanks cannot participate in this contest.
The battle results counted will not include bonuses (Premium Account, double XP for the first victory of the day, experience multiplier bonuses, etc.).
In case of draw in experience, player who scored the winning score first ranks higher. For example if two players reached in warrior category 3000 XP, but Player 1 scored it on April 13th and Player 2 on April 20th, Player 1 ranks higher.
Only the results from random battles will count. Clan Wars and Tank Companies will not be included.
If you already have one of the tanks offered in the garage (Type 59 or Type 62) you will be compensated with its purchase price: 7,500 Gold for the Type 59 and 4,800 Gold for the Type 62.
In order to win the Paris trip prize, you must be eligible to travel to France without any visa requirements. In addition, you must be 18 or over to win. If a player who comes first or second in their category is ineligible to win this prize, then it will pass to the next eligible person on the list.
