It’s time again, for the three next games of my list of the top 12 anticipated games of 2014. In this blog post, I will introduce you to the games that have placed in 7th, 8th and 9th place. There’s not much more to say is it? Well, how about we get started?

9. Thief

The Thief video game series have been unhold ever since 2004, when the last game came out in the name of Thief: Deadly Shadows. But now, it’s planned that the next game in the series, that’s only called Thief, is supposed to be released sometime during February 2014 if everything goes as planned. Thief is, as you probably can figure out by the name, a stealth video game, which is actually the reason that I chose to put it in my list. I’ve never tried the earlier Thief games, but I have taken a look on the game’s screenshots and gameplay and found it to be real interesting. I guess I’ve fallen in love with the stealth genre, ever since I started to play Dishonored, which I enjoyed incredibly much. Just like in Dishonored, you are supposed to use stealth to overcome challenges in Thief, and try to pass without using any violence. Games like this are usually challenging for me, but it’s exactly how I like it. I prefer games that are tough to beat, and not games that are easy to beat. Hopefully, Thief will be a game of this kind.

8. Everquest Next

When I first started to plan which games I was going to include in my list, I was sure to bring Everquest  Next up. What I didn’t know, is that I would place it on the 8th place. I thought at first that it was going  to place higher in my list, but I guess that proves what amazing games we have to look forward to.  Everquest is probably a game that most of the MMO players have heard of. Everquest Next is the  successor of these games, and is supposed to be released sometime during 2014, although an exact date  is currently not set. The game engine used in Everquest Next is called the Forgelight Engine, and there’s  actually one one game that’s used this before, which is Planetside 2. Planetside 2 was a game I truly  enjoyed, so obviously I’m hoping that Everquest Next can offer me the same entertainment I had, or  maybe even better. Will Everquest Next succeed, or will it be a failure? I’m just hoping for a game that can bring some joy into my life.

7. The Division

Tom Clancy’s The Division is planned to be release late during 2014, or perhaps even early 2015. The Division is going to be an online RPG 3rd person shooter set in Chicago. The gameplay itself looks incredible and graphically it looks like one of the most impressive of the games of my list. I honestly, don’t know that much of the game, since the developers, Ubisoft, haven’t exactly announced that many detail about the game itself. But we all know what Ubisoft can achive, when we look at the earlier games that they have developed, such as Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed as well as all of the Tom Clancy’s games (Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell etc.). From the information that they have released it looks amazing and is something that I look forward to playing. All I can do for now is to wait for the release.

And those are the three games that placed in 7-9th place. I will definitely look forward to playing these. In a couple of days I will continue my list, and introduce you the games that placed in 6-4th place. See you then I guess! XD
