Pokemon Go

This month saw the release of Pokemon Go in several nations across the world which signalled the true advent of augmented reality technology. This music app was one of the first to truly illustrate just how smart and simple our apps could be. By just holding up your smartphone to an unknown song and triggering the Shazam app, the screen will be lit up with the song title, artist name and a handy link so that you can buy the track with just a click of a button!

There are several virtual reality casino apps already available which allow you to put on a headset and dive into an artificial environment where you get to play poker, slots or roulette alone or in multiplayer mode.   1. Nice list,I wouldn’t add or remove anything,but instead of Google Maps I am Using HERE WeGo offline maps because you don’t need network connection for it.

  2. I don’t think Spotify was really that boundary-breaking of an app. Sure, it’s probably the most popular music streaming service, but I think most people just download music to their phone, so they don’t have to listen to ads or use up cellular data.

    But Pokémon GO on the other hand was probably the most boundary-breaking. It pretty much changed sedentary gaming and made gaming more physically active by encouraging people to roam to different places in real life. And it was much different than any game that’s existed previously, and originated as an April Fools’ joke back in 2014.
